Dear Aabi, our little girl and biggest bundle of joy
You were just 5 months and 20 hours old when I first entered the house, and Bhabhi placed you in my arms, blessing me to make you an elder sister one day. As time passed, your playful nature made me wish for a child like you, one who would call me "Mummy" and never leave my side, even while creating mischief and learning to be as naughty as you.
Now, I will only have stories to share with them.
You brought so much joy into our lives. Every day, we looked forward to our video calls, eagerly waiting to hear you say "Chachiiii, Chachiii, Chachu, Chachu," not allowing anyone else to speak. Now, only your memories remain, Bacha.
The house feels so empty without you, Aabi. I miss you deeply, but can’t express it to anyone; Chachi misses you a lot.
"Aabi did it… Aabi kutta"… Aabi, you were our happiness and joy. With you around, we all felt like children again.
Now we are here, but a part of our lives is missing. The way you loved us was irreplaceable. We regret not showing you the same love you gave us. We will love you forever, our girl.
My Laado… Our Aabi…
As time passes, your birthday month arrives. It’s becoming harder each day for your Chachu and me as we used to search for the perfect gifts for you, and now we are sitting here with empty hands.
In losing you, we lost a part of our lives. Your laughter was our only connection during video calls, and now we are left with silence.
Life goes on, but what we have lost is gone forever, leaving only unanswered questions behind.
Your light still lingers in every heartbeat and whispers in the wind.
I miss hearing, “Aabi did that… Aabi kutta… Chachu… Chachi…”
Loss of a child sends the deepest waves of grief across the entire family. Uncles and aunts miss the little life that brought parental instincts into them way before they get to hold their own.
These dedications are an effort to word these emotions for a world beyond. May our thoughts and our love flow across to reach them as we intend.
